The reconciliation was to clarify some of the tensions between these people which related to Kumana’s relationship with those USA visiting friends. One of this was his promise to his community, purposely to clarify that, such promise is a propose and the community should understand the outcome, either positive or negative, and the community should understand this.

Kumana’s Promise could be Dangerous said a close Relative .
The relative said that, for almost 5 years now but
nothing happens. He also said that the frequent visitors from the USA had
been reminding the community of expecting some positive result from them.
Kumana’s promise somehow could be hiding out from
the back of everybody's mind but may spoil his reputation and his family.
Also there
has been disagreement from kumana’s tribe, for being requested Kumana
to leave his home for a day trip on the tourist boat. This may allow him to
catch cold and he is aging and such request may affect his health.
In response,
Kumana’s grandson stated clearly that such request may allow
him to be part of his solidarity with his USA friends, and moreover is
to relieve
himself from the ongoing stress which currently affecting him since he lost his
beloved wife.

Kumana cannot locate exactly where he and buiku buried the body of a Japanese pilot.
It was a fine day and there were attacks from the Air and the Sea between the Japanese and Allied force. This makes it harder to differentiate either we are now heading to the setting of the sun or still in mid day.
We approach Lebu bay (Gizo Island) and we saw a Japanese plane was being attacked by an Allied Plane. There it went right in front where I and Baku ahead too. We spotted where the wreck is but not a sign of anybody. There above us was a large umbrella, it was a parachute, the pilot was air-escaped from his plane. We approach him but it doesn't seem like an enemy to us but expecting us to save him from his injury and we treat his wound in the Gizo harbor (Now BP wharf).
Next day, I and Biuku planned to hand him to the Americans but he asked us to take him to Kolobangara (Japanese base). But we insisted, then he retaliated. Wow!! He is a tough guy, he made very fast move with actions (Karate) then made an attack on us. But with a change we hold and won't let him free and after a lot minutes he collapsed and we lost our Japanese friend. We buried him in BP area Gizo town.
It was in the year 2004 my grandfather told this story to me. And this year 2012 the Japanese Government Volunteers are seeking any reminds of the Japanese soldiers who died during the WWII may report this to them. So in private (2012) I asked my grandfather were was the exact site where they buried the Japanese Pilot, but he cannot locate the exact site.

Aaron Kumana’s wost bloody nightmare brings the findings.
One of the bloody tales that Kumana told me was the bloodiest
war launched by air attack and the field attack in different locations which US
marine commanders used us as front liner.
“I always risked my life but I found that the USA marines
always cover up, but when it comes to an air struck bodies are all over”, said
Kumana.
In the year 2003 Aaron Kumana whispered in my ear and told me
the sites.
And in the year 2007 some USA dog tags were collected.
Check out might one of those you know.

Eroni Kumana sets for email fundraising appeal

Aaron (Eroni) Kumana comes from Lale Village Ranogga Island.
Attended (Older age) Methodist missionary school before the WWII.
He is believed to be 88 this year.
After the WWII, he was granted permission from his uncle to secure a piece of land which during that time more indigenous said to be a place of evil spirits.
With some of his cousins they established a small community known as kongu village.
He is a committed person who did a lot in a very small village of about 10 people. More committed to grow coconut palms especially for him who also involved with the early missionaries.
And then finally he established the Methodist church in his community.
During the British protectorate rule, one of the developments established during his early days was the trading of foreign goods. This demand’s Kumana and his small community to plant more coconut palms.
Kumana allocated more areas because of his enthusiasm to help his family, community and the church.
Kumana is still alive without his cousins, but he still has that same spirit thinking to help his community. Today total up to 150 families now living in Kongu. With the total population of about 1000 and the establishment of clinic and primary school this demands Kumana to think of helping his community. He announced this to his community that he would seek help from Americans.
Until today, the community is eyeing the hero who rescues the 35th president of America.
Year after years nothing happened, this makes him so low that he is planning to reject over sea visiting friends. Although he had that plan but he loves the Americans (He said). Finally, he thought of sending his 5 Recommendations to the Kennedy family USA.
Now Kumana and his grandson plan out for the email contact fundraising appeal for his 5 recommendations. You may donate any amount you like to give.

Kumana discribe his trip a peaceful

Kumana described his trip on one of the American ship was a wonderful and peaceful.
He said, since he lost his beloved wife he felt emotionally and have frequent flash backs which he cannot avoid. He also mentioned that he loves the Americans and with their presence he felt comfort and have new feelings while on the one day trip on the boat.
He said, the trip was different from other events. Previous events Americans like more information's regarding the rescue of JFKennedy . He said, this trip is peaceful which gave him comfort. He thanked Hon Danny Kennedy (Local American Business man) for organizing the peaceful trip. And the captain of the ship for his hospitality on boat.
Aaron Kumana also mentioned his 5 recommendations (proposal) to the J.F. Kennedy Family for considering his proposal.
As a grandson of Aaron Kumana, I myself also understand that Kumana is the only elder in the community, tribe and the church. He is well respected, not only that, he is identified as the source of improving the community. These beliefs came about during his requests to visitors and the promises he made for helping his community. Kumana will never give up and will keep trying to fulfil these promises.

Kumana and wife received gift from family memebers
Once a year the community usually celebrated the mothers and fathers days. This was the time Aaron and his wife received special gifts from their grandchildren daughters, sons and relatives. Such events were prepared by village elders.
There are others who cannot involve because they lived and work on the other urban centers.
During their holidays, Aaron Kumana and his wife have a special mother’s and father’s day. They have that special because they are the oldest people in the community.
Before kumana’s wife died a special gathering took place which involves all her sons and daughters. This is the time Kumana announced how he got Amelia Laela his wife.
