Grandson of kumana explains his grandpa’s trip to the 70th Anniversary of the battle of Guadalcanal on the 7th August 2012.
The grandson explained that Kumana’s trip was a request from the Solomon Scouts and Trust board, and they did cover the trip, and he (Kumana) was a special guest during that anniversary.
Following the promises made by his youngest son to the community people, more help for the trip to a nearby airstrip. The promise leads people to expect Kumana to receive support from the America after the celebration.
The grandson clarified that such event doesn't mean to have a reward, but to prepare a speech or by cutting cakes or ribbons.
The grandson also strongly asked his uncles to explain their fathers trip to the anniversary, rather than the 90 year old rescuer expecting package from the US or SI government.
“Very sad, my grandpa told me that now all matters and concerns are now in the hands of the US and SI government”.
The grandson further explain, to his uncles that to help their father was not awaiting something but it is a family and friends contributions, either in paper working, communication, etc.
The surviving rescuer of the future president of America, promised to help his community since 2006.
